Acid Etch Anodizing
Committed to serving the growing demand of its customers and
strategic markets with consistent and sustainable products, Bonnell
Aluminum is converting of all of its existing anodizing product
lines to the acid etch process. Acid etch anodic coatings will be
available exclusively starting April 1, 2009.
Benefits of Acid Etch Anodizing:
- Available in clear, bronze, and black finish, acid etch
anodic coatings have superior characteristics for finish
consistency compared to conventional anodizing, resulting in a
more uniform finished product;
- Acid etch anodic coatings enable significant improvement
in the hiding of extrusion surface imperfections;
- Acid etch anodic coatings meet and exceed all AAMA 611
performance specifications for anodizing;
- Additionally, acid etch anodic coatings are
unquestionably more environmentally
