Finishes

As a full service extruder, Bonnell offers a wide array of organic, inorganic and mechanical finishes. Depending on the end-use application, Bonnell has the finish of choice to match any application, as well as a variety of color options.

Mechanical Finishing
We offer specular buffing, polishing and sanding, both directional and spiral.

Chemical Finishing
Choose from our full range of anodic coating designations in Silver, Gold and 2-Step Bronze, as well as Bright Dip. We offer a full range of Class I and Class II architectural anodic coatings which meet or exceed standards set forth by AAMA 611.

Acid Etch Anodizing
In addition to standard anodizing options, which creates a coating that is an integral part of the aluminum and will not flake or peel off, Bonnell also offers Acid Etch Anodizing.

This process provides a superior uniform matte finish. The resulting product is free of the streaks caused by other processes. The lower gloss reading reduces glare in bright sunlight. Other benefits include reduced etch time, reduced aluminum removal and effectively hiding extrusion lines, scuffs and die lines.

Painted Finishes
These include a full complement of electrostatic spray applications. Bonnell's paint applications are designed to meet AAMA specifications 2603, 2604 and 2605.
